February is already the shortest month of the year, with or without the extra day. For the students at Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH), February will be even shorter.
On Friday, Feb. 23, there will be no school for SPASH students due to Professional Development Day. With the lack of snow days this year for the Stevens Point area, this will be a treat, at least for the kids.
Also, all juniors will be taking the ACT on Feb. 27 and the WorkKeys exam on Feb. 28. Sophomores and seniors will not have to be at school on Feb. 27, and will only have to attend classes in the afternoon on Feb. 28. Regular classes that day will begin at 11:40 a.m.
