The SPASH musical, The Little Mermaid, was delayed several times due to the polar vortex.
“I. Hate. Mother. Nature.” is all Dena Mercer, drama teacher and musical director, had to say about the weather over the past two weeks.
While some were more confident with the production, others have gone the opposite direction.
It “hasn’t affected much, stress is high though,” said Rayna Bushéy, student musical director.
Overall the love story between mermaid and man couldn’t be held apart even by mother nature. Cast, crew and the music makers made the show memorable.

WOW!!! what a crazy weather we’ve had this year. I heard the musical was cancelled and was moved to Sunday. The play went really well is what I heard. Great article!

Luckily the musical went wonderfully. It’s best performance was Sunday night.

I could not believe that the musical was delayed! It was a real struggle to figure out when I should go attend due to the fact that so many of my friends were performing in the musical. The musical although delayed still turned out amazing!

Overall the musical went on and everyone who was involved did a good job, especially considering all the setbacks. I liked how you got a quote from a teacher and a student, it gives two different voices.
