Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) tennis is just one of the many sports offered at our school. But who coaches the players throughout the season?

This is the story of Trevor Knight, one of the tennis coaches at SPASH.

Knight, who has been an educator for 12 years, teaches Personal Finance and also runs the school store.

His love for tennis started back in eighth grade when he started to play the sport. This is where Knight started his journey into the world of tennis. He said he enjoyed the sport and playing it with his friends. Knight also played in college at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Knight now coaches tennis for SPASH. He is the head coach for the boys team which plays in the spring and the assistant coach for the girls team who play late summer and early fall. Before SPASH he coached at Wausau East.

Right now the girls tennis season is going really well. They have a shot for the finals. One of the players, Elizabeth Wentzel said, the “team has been great, it’s been a lot of fun this year.”
