Students receive Top Cat status

There are many outstanding students at Stevens Point Area Senior High and a special program recognizes them for their skills.
The Top Cats program has been in existence since 2003. It is a program in which two students are chosen weekly by an academic department to be recognized as Top Cats for their academic effort. The Top Cats will receive a certificate, their picture displayed in the office window, a preferred parking pass for the week and a bumper sticker.
The following students have already been named Top Cats for the 2017-18 school year so far. They are Agriculture: Stephanie Hirzy and Casey Simonis; Art: Paige Proctor and Rachel Simonis; Counseling: Caroline Franklin and Justine Eron; English: Yia Yang and Morgan McCarville; Family & Consumer Ed.: Brittany Frost and Cierra Hintz-Mower; P.E./ Health: Annika Enders and Tanner Reed; Driver’s Ed.: Ger Lor and Tahlia Rogers; Math: Kiya Singewald and Aubrey Borchardt; Music: Nate Firkus and Hope Mahon; World Language: Edith Veum and Daphne Graf; Science: Lukas Mocadlo and Renee Hinchcliffe; Social Studies: Tom Felt and Quinn Rowe; Agriculture: Kaylin Gawlik and Zoe Zalewski; Art: Cecelia Kedrowski and Jacqueline Wisinski; Business: Supriya Keefe and Elizabeth Wentzel; Driver’s Ed.: Spencer Wierzba and Brenden Klish; English: Emily Seppelt and Mitchell Stewart; Family & Consumer Ed.: Chayce Henry and Jaide Hoppe; World Language: Jiaxin (Jocelyn) He and Abby Stupar.
Awards will continue through the end of the school year.
