The Portage County Cultural Festival is an educational day dedicated to celebrating ethnicity in Portage County and students will have the opportunity to volunteer and experience the festival.

The festival will be held at Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH).

Volunteers are needed on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on the Festival Day, Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A variety of opportunities are available. Volunteers may choose to work for a minimum of one hour.

There are multiple areas available to volunteer, such as set-up and take down, kitchen and children’s areas, and hospitality & security. Visit volunteersrock.org/aem/general/ for more information.

The Cultural Festival is home to many experiences. “Last year, more than 15,000 festival-goers gathered at Stevens Point Area Senior High to enjoy the sights, sounds and aromas of the ethnic food, exhibits, entertainment and children’s activities,” Kayla Rombalski, committee member, stated.
