Reagan Rouse, Writer
Growing up, I always loved writing. Ever since I learned how to hold a pencil I’ve been writing, words of my own mother. I loved creating my own stories and worlds at my own hand and the mercy of a pen and paper. Living on a small residential street in Central Wisconsin with a group of energetic, adventurous kids my age definitely had a lift on my inspiration. As I grew older, I found myself drawn to many hobbies and many different people, as well as a long bumpy journey of self discovery. I had many hardships in life that sent me backwards rather than forwards, many I thought were impossible to overcome. With time, I found bright lights at the ends of dark tunnels. Writing anything of my own has always been a safe haven for me, a soft comfort in an otherwise rough world where my cards weren’t always dealt fairly. My own novels and writing pieces have always given me a strong sense of pride in what I could do. Many of my pieces involving compelling characters and stories come from my own personal life experiences and people I have met. My inspirations come from the growing and changing world around me. The grounds I walk on, the places I see, the experiences I get the finest pleasure of being able to experience have always found their way into my writing. I’ve always been creative and a bit of a workaholic, making sitting down and writing a dream. While my first ever story is definitely hidden away in a box from my move in my childhood, it will always hold a special place in my heart. From writing my first full sentences when I learned how to pick up a pencil and write properly, to writing lengthy chapters with plot twists that shock even myself. I hope to be able to create stories and books that may impact people just like me someday. Writing is a passion for me, a talent I hold dear. A calm storm in a whirlwind.
