SPASH seniors Trent Hamerski and Cole Wright progressed towards their lifelong dream of being NCAA football players on February 7.

Hamerski is taking his future to the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Wright is pursuing his college football career at Winona St. University. Both of these athletes plan to show what they can do on and off the fields at their respected schools.

“Hamerski is a gifted athlete who did a lot of different things for us on defense, offense, and special teams. He has good speed, is quick and explosive.  He helped his team the most on defense. He is solid in pass coverage and super physical against the run. UMD is getting one of the best in Wisconsin,” Coach Pete McAdams said.

McAdams said, “Wright is athletic, physical and has a high motor. He was fighting off double teams and making plays sideline to sideline all season long. Every Division One college coach I spoke with loved him, but followed it up with ‘He’s too small.’ That has only motivated him to prove them all wrong. Remember, dynamite comes in small packages.”
