Some definite positives about our system

The education system differs in every school district that you go to. But at SPASHwe have eight hours a day, seven if you don’t count lunch, open campus, and school-issued laptops. These are some of the things that make our district different from the others.

I like having seven classes every day. I get to take all of the classes that I want to take, the hours aren’t so long that I get bored and start daydreaming plus the consistency of having the same schedule every day is nice. It makes your schedule one less thing that you have to think about. I couldn’t imagine having two hours of math or English class. I would be daydreaming half of the time.

I love having an open campus. Now that I have had a taste of what it feels like I could never go back to a closed campus. I think it is awesome that they allow you to get something to eat or nap in your car when you don’t have a class. But I also know that there are a lot of students who leave and don’t come back. What the right move is, I don’t know, but I think that it would be unfair to take it away from everyone because of a few kids.

I think that school-issued laptops are awesome. You can schoolwork at home without having to worry about sharing one home computer. I also think that we would be in a lot of trouble if we didn’t have these laptops during this whole pandemic. Some students would not be able to access their Schoology accounts and then this would be a whole mess.

These are my opinions about some of the offerings in our school and how we learn. I think that our district is doing an ok job and I think that they handled the pandemic pretty well.
