The Backyard Grille is a bar and restaurant owned by the Cornell family. It has been open since January 30, 2018, and it has been growing in popularity ever since it has opened. They have a wide variety of foods and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

The Backyard Grille, on the corner of Highway 66 and Highway J in Custer Wisconsin, has a wide variety of food including burgers and sandwiches that are affordable and delicious. They also make homemade pizzas and have daily specials like Friday fish fries and Sunday chicken dinners.

Noah Jung, a student of Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH), and an employee of the Backyard Grille said, “It’s just a fun place to work and a fun place to be. Everyone is always having a good time and the food is incredible.”

The Backyard Grille specializes in their burgers, which burgers are “fresh, never frozen, hand pattied burgers, cooked to your preference,” Jung said. Jung’s personal preference is the homemade pizza, but he also likes to have the fish fry on Friday which is the number one ordered that night. Some customers come every Friday just for the fish fry dinner.

The Backyard Grille also caters food for events and accepts take orders over the phone. They are open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Monday, but on Sundays they open at 10 a.m.

For entertainment, you can watch mainly sports on their large flat-screen TV’s or play pool on their pool tables.
