This year, the Social Studies department is coordinating a trip for the students of SPASH to go to Europe. This 10-day journey will be in late July. This is the first abroad trip SPASH has ever hosted.

Students will experience the German, Polish, and Czech culture, learn about the history of anti-Semitism in Europe and see for themselves the impact of the Holocaust.

So far, there is a total of 16 travelers going on this trip. Eight of these travelers are students, and six are parents and/or siblings or parents of the student travelers.

The students will study the events of the Holocaust and learn about the victims who suffered through it.

“We are hoping to take students on a different trip every year.” Elizabeth Anderson, the tour organizer, said.
