What exactly is pop culture? “Modern popular culture is transmitted via mass media and aimed particularly at younger people,” according to Google definition.

Many people have different answers as to how they view pop culture and its contents. One controversy is whether or not country music is included in pop culture. There are people who oppose it being added and also people who are for it.

My personal opinion on the matter is that it should be included in pop culture. I understand that pop and country are not the same things but at the same time, country music is just as appealing to younger people as pop music.

For most people it’s either pop or country, there is no in between or mixing them although we do see many examples of just that happening. Take Taylor Swift, for instance. She began her career as a country singer but she then started leaning towards pop music. She is now one of the biggest people in pop music and pop culture. But many people also still view her as being a country singer.

There are a couple of things to think about when trying to decide where country music fits into pop culture. What are the guidelines for classifying things as country? What are guidelines for classifying things as pop or pop culture? Do guidelines always have to be followed? All of these things are ultimately up to everyone, as individuals, to decide for themselves.
