The Career Center provides SPASH students with information about education after high school and opportunities for job training and shadowing.

Students will have the opportunity to come to the Career Center and receive assistance with admission applications for technical colleges, universities, as well as for scholarship applications during both lunch hours on Oct. 2 and Oct. 9.

Career Center advisor Gina Jordan encourages students to take advantage of the meetings.

“I’ve work with students applying to Mid-State Technical College, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and Michigan Tech; there really isn’t any two-year or four-year school that is beyond our limits.”

Jordan further elaborated on the Human Resources meeting happening on Thursday, Oct. 5. “For the ‘Career Conversation: Human Resources Meeting,’ a representative from American Business Resource will discuss the details of being involved in the human resources field.”

She also explained the upcoming FAFSA meeting on Friday, Oct. 6, which determines which students may be eligible for grants, loans, and work studies. It should be noted that scholarship applications are not part of the meeting.

The Career Center is located on the second floor in room 2228 next to the library.
