The Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) yearbook will arrive in the spring just before seniors graduate.

This means there will be no spring activities or sports after the middle of March included in the book.

“Rather, a ‘Spring Supplement’ will be completed with those items and will be available for pick-up next fall,” adviser Kyle Falk said.

The yearbook will contain many different sections, layout styles and a new cover design for this year’s edition.

“Perhaps the biggest change is that yearbook is now a class,” Falk said.

The class is an elective credit for a whole year. The students will create the design and layout of the yearbook.

The class will learn about advertising, public relations and effective writing strategies. Some students will take pictures at a variety of different events during the school year.

“We are in the process of setting up access for an app called Replay It.  It allows students to submit pictures to possibly be used in the layouts for the yearbook,” Falk said.

Falk and Brent Gostomski are the yearbook advisers for this year. They are both business teachers at SPASH.

Seniors need to submit a photo by Oct 31. Photos can be submitted to [email protected] or send in a CD to the main office.

Photos must be vertically formatted, head and shoulder shot preferred, and have a plain, subdued, or natural background. No weapons or group photos are allowed, school appropriate clothing is required. Photos may be either color or black and white.

Yearbook orders can be completed online through Jostens. A link on the SPASH homepage will lead right to Jostens’ website.

Jostens gives you the option of ordering a yearbook and purchasing additional items such as signature pens, autograph sections and personalization options.
